How to take care of cigars...
Directions for Use
Break perforated safety seal on caps.
Remove solid cap from tube.
Some evaporation may have occured while DryMistat® was sitting on the store shelf.
If needed add plain tap water to the “Fill Line”. (Distilled water is ok too)
Put perforated cap on tube and wait for water to be absorbed. (3-5 minutes)
Then place DryMistat® near the center of your humidor. If using multiple DryMistat’s® space them evenly throughout humidor.
One DryMistat® per 25 Cigars
This depends on many factors such as; relative humidity, how well sealed and seasoned your humidor is, how often you open it, and how dry the cigars were in the first place. It also depends on how often you are willing to fill your DryMistat®.
Add Plain Water Every 1-3 Months or when crystals shrink below fill line
Crystals shrink in size when water evaporates. This gives you a visual indication when it’s time to add water. Tap the tube on a table to shake the Crystals to the bottom of the tube. When they shrink below the “Add” line merely fill with water to the “Fill” line. Replace the cap and stand vertically for about 5 minutes or until the water is absorbed, return it to your “humidor.” Plain tap water will not harm this unit unless you live in extremely hard water areas where the water is undrinkable. Then Distilled water should be used.
